  • Before you begin the treatment please discontinue all hair removal methods in the treatment area EXCEPT for shaving – including waxing, hair removal creams or chemicals, tweezing and electrolysis. Make sure you shave the area the day before the treatment. Always remember to do a patch test 24 hours before starting treatment.
  • We recommend you treat the area once a week for 12 weeks to catch all the unwanted hair.
  • Switch to maintenance treatments and top-up every 4-8 weeks to remain hair-free.

Will SmoothSkin work for me?

SmoothSkin IPL is most effective when there is a contrast between the skin and hair.

IPL isn’t effective on white or grey hair due to lower amounts of melanin, and red hair contains a different type of melanin which isn’t responsive to IPL.

It is not suitable for use on deep skin tones or skin rich in melanin.

How does Pure Adapt work?
Pure Adapt uses IPL (intense pulse light) to help break the cycle of hair growth without damaging the skin. Light energy from the device is transferred through the skin’s surface and is absorbed by melanin present in the hair shaft. The absorbed light energy is converted to heat energy (below the surface of the skin), which disables the hair follicle preventing further growth. Treated hairs naturally fall out over a period which can vary from a few days to 1-2 weeks depending on the individual. Repeat treatment once a week for 12 weeks. After this, treat when desired, (typically 4 to 8 weeks) to keep your skin hair-free.

How does the patented auto skin tone sensor work?
Your skin tone varies across your body and so should the intensity level of your IPL device. Our intelligent skin tone sensor continuously reads your skin tone and automatically optimizes the intensity of every flash to your unique skin tone giving you the most effective yet safe results. No need for you to guess what the optimal energy level is, Pure Adapt does it for you. If the intelligent skin tone sensor detects a skin tone that is unsafe for IPL, the device won’t flash.
How long does it take to see results?
In the first few weeks of treatment, you will still see some hairs growing, this is totally normal. From around 2 weeks, you should be seeing a reduction in hair regrowth. There will still be some hairs that need treating but hairs will grow back fewer and softer. From 4 weeks, hair grows back lighter and thinner. After 8 weeks, hair regrowth slows down significantly and after 12 weeks, you can achieve up to 99% hair reduction.
Do I need to wear eye protection?
Our devices have been developed with safety at the forefront and are safe to use without the need for eye protection. All our devices have 4 skin contact sensors that ensure the device flashes only when pressed firmly against your skin, never into the air. However, you should never attempt to fire on to or close to the eye itself.

Saves me time and money every week!

Trying out this product was really exciting for me- I always like finding eays to make the process of hair removal easier. Thanks to the Pure Mini Lite, I was able to do just that! I’ve been keeping progress on the hair removal over roughly 8 weeks now and it’s worked pretty well! I’ve noticed stunted hair growth and less hair growing in the spots I have lasered. My only complaint is it can be a bit time consuming going bit by bit to effectively remove the hair, but it works at minimizing the work I have to do week after week! Overall I’m pretty satisfied and can confidently say I would recommend this product- it does have warnings about darker skin tones using this product, so please be thorough when researching if this is the product for you!

Super results in the comfort of my own home

The device is super easy to use and it definitely reduces hair. While I still have some hair left and it is not all gone after consistent use, I have noticed a significant reduction. I wonder if I keep using it it will be all gone. I like having the device though for at home touch ups in the way future for free. The only other thing is that the auto is sometimes not the best because it doesn’t always recognize it is flush to the body due to a body’s natural curve but it gets better with a learning curve. Over all I am satisfied and would recommend.

Overall very happy! This was my first time using an IPL device. It was very easy to use, and the instructions were easy to follow. I noticed significant hair growth reduction week-by-week on my armpits and a little in my pubic area/mound. It did cause a bit of light irritation in my legs, which was to be expected due to the large area of skin (a little itching and redness). I also noticed some beauty marks getting lightened on my legs as well. I’m looking forward to using this device more.

Quick, easy to use and long wires for better durability

Easy to use, needs to be used consistently to see good results. Mostly pain free with occasionally being uncomfortable. Doesn’t take too much time to use and the wire is long so it isn’t restrictive on where you use this. Sometimes there is a small smell, I would recommend as it’s compact, reasonably priced and easy to navigate
